Online therapy
Better relationships for you without leaving home
Relationships can be difficult at the best of times. If constant fighting, attachment issues, neurodiversity, lack of intimacy or relationship uncertainty are leaving you feeling disconnected, individual or couples therapy can help you find stable ground and rekindle intimacy.
Online therapy ensures that you receive the care you deserves, even if personal circumstances make traditional, face-to-face therapy difficult.
Online therapy is an easy and convenient means of doing therapy in the comfort of your own home or other private location, without having to travel. It’s useful for people who live in regional areas, work shifts or irregular hours, have caring responsibilities or who have immuno-compromised conditions that make it unsafe to venture into public places. Some people just prefer it as it’s more convenient.

What to know about online therapy
Online therapy allows access to anyone throughout Australia and overseas. If you think we can support you, then reach out today. Distance is not a barrier. We are experienced relationship therapists with many years of experience working with individuals and couples in person and online.
Online therapy needs to feel right for you and your circumstances. You will need a reliable internet connection. A computer or tablet is preferable to a phone. Therapists are trained to read cues such as facial expressions and body language. When the screens are too small it makes it difficult for us to get clear messages which will affect our ability to respond to you. Furthermore, smaller screens make it difficult to receive our concern and empathy, which is important during therapy sessions.
To maintain your confidentiality, consider booking an online therapy session at a time where there is limited opportunity for interruptions. We encourage you to avoid multi-tasking during sessions as therapy requires concentration. Ensure that you have charged your phone or laptop and have a stable internet or WiFi connection.
For couples
For couples in high states of distress who struggle to contain that distress, online therapy may not be appropriate. While we are trained in containing and mediating conflict, it may not be possible in extreme cases. This is something we will be able to discuss with you in session.
As the way we practice is based around co-regulation of the nervous system (i.e. you and your partner mutually soothing and de-escalating each other) online therapy may not be appropriate where couples are not in the same room as each other. For this reason, our preference is not to work with long distance relationships.
